Its no secret that vintage has made a revival in weddings. From engagement rings, lace gowns, cakes, vendor carts, 8 mm film, to antique cars…..Vintage Is Trending.  Nicole + Carlos embraced timeless charm & romance in every beautiful detail of their whimsical Victorian garden wedding, blending nature’s splendor with intricate, ornate details.

The enchanting Historic Palm Lodge in Florida was the perfect backdrop for these two history lovers who wanted a venue with a rich past. The lodge was in built in 1912 and has since been renovated into a pink paradise. It’s also home to many rare botanical wonders, delicate orchids, and exotic fruits from around the world!

On the day of their wedding it ended up raining and the couple had to change all of their plans last minute.  In the spirit that true love endures all things, they braved the rain and made it a day that they will never forget. Despite the downpour of rain not a single guest was missing and everyone one gathered around under umbrellas for the ceremony which was beaming with love.

The bride described the couple’s  really special first look.  “The moment we saw each other it was instant tears (happy tears of course). It was also an exciting moment because I designed my own wedding dress and it was the first time my husband was seeing me in it. My husband is my number one fan so he was just as excited as I was about the big reveal.”

The couple took dance lessons, before their big day, to learn the Viennese Waltz. They’re obsessed with the 1800’s and it was always a dream for them to learn to dance that style of waltz.  Although the groom was hesitant at first, the dance lessons became their favorite part of the wedding planning and they were so excited to share that moment with their guests.

Rain on a wedding day can be bittersweet, bringing both challenges and unexpected beauty. While rain can disrupt outdoor settings and dampen certain plans, it’s often seen as a symbol of good luck in many cultures, signifying cleansing, renewal, and fertility. For couples open to embracing it, rain can create magical, unique moments.  Nicole + Carlos enjoyed a stunning after the wedding photoshoot, at the historic lodge, that was just as perfect as their beautiful love story.
