Week after week, we’re lucky to feature beautiful celebrations across Miami—but every so often a wedding arrives that truly takes our breath away. For September, that honor belongs to Maya and John. Their Vizcaya Museum & Gardens affair married old-world grandeur with Miami’s coastal charm, creating a celebration that stood out among every other submission.

Among all the beautiful submissions we received this month, Maya and John’s wedding stood out in every way. From the sweeping waterfront views to the intricate floral design, every element carried a level of artistry and sophistication that set it apart, capturing the very best of Miami’s signature elegance.

When asked how the couple met, Maya answered, “We originally met online. Both of us were from Montreal. At the time, he was working in Doral, and I had just moved there during my first year in Miami. We went on a few dates, hit it off, and the rest is history!”

Vendors That Shined

The day unfolded like a work of art thanks to the flawless direction of Joni from Your Special Day by Joni, whose planning expertise ensured every moment felt effortless and elegant. From the sweeping waterfront ceremony to the candlelit reception, her team’s attention to detail brought Maya’s vision to life with stunning precision.

Adding to the magic was the enchanting live music of The Miami Harpist, whose melodies floated through the gardens from the first guest’s arrival to the final dance. The harp’s romantic notes set a tone of pure sophistication and gave the entire day a soundtrack as unforgettable as the setting itself.

The outstanding decor and rentals for every part of the day came from Elements & Accents, a team known for elevating events with curated furnishings and seamless service.

Personal Touches

Perhaps the most personal touch came from Maya’s mother, Grace, who stepped in as the florist. Together with Joni, she designed lush arrangements that perfectly complemented Vizcaya’s historic beauty. “My favorite and most helpful vendors were my event planner, Joni, and my mom, Grace, who was the florist,” Maya shared. “They worked so well together and made sure everything went absolutely seamless the day of the wedding.”

Standout Moments

From show stopping veil shots captured by PS Photo Films to a full day of entertainment that kept guests on their feet, Maya and John’s celebration was the definition of unforgettable.

When asked what their favorite wedding day memory was, the bride answered with “Just how much everyone was dancing, and how amazing all of the performances there were.” There was so many outstanding entertainment factors through out this wedding day. One being a performer from Aerial Artistry, live music, and a DJ.

The couple and their guests were immersed in nonstop entertainment and these unforgettable performances, filling the day with laughter, wonder, and memories to last a lifetime—exactly what they had envisioned for their celebration.

Maya and John’s garden inspired wedding was a beautiful blend of heartfelt moments, breathtaking florals, and seamless planning. From the first note of music to the final send-off, it was a celebration guests will always remember.
