Vows That Wow – Kirsty & Kristina

Week after week, we are lucky to showcase beautiful celebrations from all over Miami, but every so often a wedding comes along that truly takes our breath away. For August, our Vows That Wow couple is Kirsty and Kristina, whose colorful beachside wedding was a joyful blend of fun, heartfelt moments, and thoughtful details. From the way they planned each part of the day to the way they speak about each other, their love shines through in every photo. This is a true reflection of a romance as vibrant as their celebration.

A Bright and Joyful Island Setting

Kirsty and Kristina chose Largo Resort in Key Largo, just a short drive from Miami, for its peaceful energy, natural beauty, and serene atmosphere. From the very beginning, they dreamed of a place that felt like a true oasis—somewhere they could escape with their closest family and friends to celebrate their love. The island’s charm and vibrant local spirit made their wedding feel bright, radiant, and full of joy, leaving exactly the kind of positive impact they had hoped for.

Details That Dazzled

While Kirsty and Kristina loved all of their vendors, they had especially high praise for their wedding planner at Blue Water Weddings.
“There was not a moment in our year of planning a destination wedding from hours away that we doubted their ability to execute our elaborate, ever-changing, and unique vision for four days of wedding events. With two brides and eighteen bridesmaids, we knew our wedding planner had to be an 11/10—and she was completely up for the challenge.”

Thanks to their planners expertise, their wedding weekend went off flawlessly, without a single misstep. The couple didn’t have to stress over a thing, which they agree was one of the best decisions they made (besides getting married, of course!).

The florals by Foraged Floral Design set the perfect tone for their beachfront celebration, adding a touch of elegance to the natural beauty of Key Largo. It was the dreamiest mix—one of our personal favorites.

The decor and rentals were nothing short of breathtaking: a customized K&K bar, champagne awaiting guests by the seating chart, an elegant sweetheart table with statement chairs, and picture-perfect place settings that felt just so magazine worthy!

And, of course, no celebration is complete without incredible food. Dade County Food Group wowed everyone with their catering, and to top it all off, the sweetest ending—a wedding cake by Maggie’s Bakery.

Their Favorite Wedding Details 

When we asked Kirsty about her favorite wedding day memory, she didn’t hesitate to share:
“My favorite wedding day memory was Kristina joining our DJ and band from Curate Entertainment, on stage to perform Shoop by Salt-N-Pepa during the reception. Everyone was genuinely shocked when she grabbed the mic. It was such a fun, unforgettable moment and the perfect way to exhale. What a perfect moment to wrap up our celebration and the perfect week.”

For Kristina, one of the most meaningful moments happened before the ceremony:
“My grandma blessing our marriage with a poem prior to our vows. She has been such an important figure in our relationship, and having her by our side on our special day meant the world to both of us.”

She also shared another favorite memory of hers — their first look:
“We got ready in the same room separated by a curtain and planned every element of thee wedding together, but our wedding day outfits were the only surprise. Seeing Kirsty’s face and seeing my bride for the first time was a moment I’ll never forget!”
