Jade & Jordan Turned The Sunny Into the Ultimate Wedding Weekend Getaway
For Jade and Jordan, one wedding day simply was not enough. They envisioned an entire weekend where their favorite people could step away from everyday life, stay together in one place, and celebrate from start to finish. The result was a wedding weekend at The Sunny Hotel that felt less like a traditional wedding and more like a joyful getaway with everyone they love.
The couple chose The Sunny, a newly renovated oceanfront hotel, as the setting for every event throughout the weekend.
Guests immediately settled into the resort vibe thanks to thoughtful welcome gifts that included custom bucket hats, tote bags, and beach towels. The bucket hats quickly became a crowd favorite, popping up in photos all weekend long and making it easy to spot fellow wedding guests around the property.
The festivities began with a welcome party and a highly competitive ping pong tournament. Complete with brackets and plenty of friendly rivalry, the tournament carried on throughout the weekend and became one of the unexpected highlights of the celebration.
When it came time for the ceremony, guests gathered on the beachfront lawn overlooking the ocean. The setting could not have been more picture perfect A close friend co-officiated alongside a rabbi, creating a ceremony that felt deeply personal while honoring the couple’s Jewish traditions. Meaningful moments were woven throughout, making the ceremony both heartfelt and memorable.
Music played a major role in the celebration. Since Jordan is a musician, it was only fitting that live performances became one of the defining elements of the reception. Throughout the evening, talented friends took the stage, including Jordan’s band, Lawrence, creating an energy that kept guests on their feet and celebrating all night long.
The couple also made sure their favorite things were part of the party. Guests enjoyed vegan cake, fresh popcorn, cookies and milk, and a photo booth that captured countless memories from the evening.
As incredible as the reception was, the after party somehow raised the bar even higher. One of the couple’s friends took over DJ duties, and guests danced until 5 a.m. before ending the night with a spontaneous jump into both the ocean and the pool.
To close out the weekend, Jade and Jordan hosted a farewell brunch they affectionately named “Lox Club,” inspired by the dating app where they first met. Bagels and lox were naturally on the menu as everyone gathered one last time to relive their favorite moments from the celebration.
Jewish traditions remained at the heart of the weekend, from the lively Hora to the blessing over the challah, which was given by the bride’s grandmother. These meaningful moments brought generations together and added even more significance to an already unforgettable celebration.
By the time the weekend came to an end, guests were already talking about when they could all reunite again. As if the weekend needed one final perfect moment, a beautiful rainbow appeared on Sunday evening, serving as a fitting conclusion to a celebration filled with love, laughter, music, and memories that will last a lifetime.
For Jade and Jordan, The Sunny was more than just a venue. It became the backdrop for a wedding weekend that allowed everyone to slow down, connect, and fully celebrate together. It was exactly the kind of experience they had hoped to create.
