Week after week, our team has the joy of receiving and sharing stunning weddings from across Miami, all thanks to the incredibly talented vendors and wonderful couples who submit their celebrations to us. Each month, our editorial team selects one standout wedding to spotlight — a day that truly shines for its creativity, personality, and unforgettable details.
This month, we’re thrilled to feature Princess and Michael’s beautiful Miami wedding. The couple celebrated their wedding on February 7, 2026, and their celebration was nothing short of a wow from start to finish.
Their Love Story
The couple’s story began in New York City in 2020, where they met on Bumble just before the world slowed down. What started as an instant connection quickly turned into something undeniable. On their very first trip together, they visited Miami. On this trip, Michael told Princess he wanted to marry her. Years later, that promise came full circle when he proposed on New Year’s Eve in Jamaica, surrounded by crashing waves and the place that holds so much meaning for Princess and her family.
Choosing Miami for their wedding felt natural. Not only is it where their love story deepened early on, but it also offered the perfect setting to bring their vision to life: tropical, elevated, and full of life.
Cocktail Hour
Guests were welcomed with pineapple, guava, and passionfruit rum drinks, setting the tone from the very first sip. During cocktail hour, Caribbean flavors took center stage with dishes like salt fish and ackee fritters, crispy pork belly with rum-mango glaze, and a fresh oyster raw bar. The menu continued to impress throughout the evening, featuring jerk grouper, late-night jerk Kobe beef sliders, and a rum cake that tied it all together.
The Wedding Day
Set against the timeless beauty of Vizcaya Museum & Gardens, both their ceremony and reception unfolded in a setting that the two of them loved. From there, Princess and Michael layered in design elements that transported guests even further, straight into a vibrant Caribbean inspired escape.
The gorgeous florals played a major role in shaping the atmosphere. There were lush, colorful arrangements by The Bride Candy seen throughout the entire wedding day. The palette was intentionally bold and tropical, evoking the feeling of stepping onto an island filled with warmth, energy, and celebration. It was a design choice that perfectly reflected Princess’s Jamaican heritage and the couple’s shared love of the ocean.
One of the most memorable details came in the form of their wedding favors—custom jerk seasoning jars, each hand filled by the couple and personalized for every guest. It was a labor of love that continues to live on, as friends and family still share the recipes they’re creating with it.
When it was time for the ceremony, the energy never dipped. From live music to immersive entertainment, Princess and Michael curated an experience that kept guests fully engaged. Multiple different performances, but our favorite was from Hora Loca Entertainment. They brought a dynamic mix of Caribbean and American hits to the dance floor, while live musicians added elegance and dimension throughout the day. The weekend festivities even began with a steel drum band at their welcome party and ended with a Super Bowl Sunday send-off at Dua Miami, making it truly feel like a multi-day celebration of love.
Standout Vendor Spotlight
When we asked the bride who the most helpful vendor was she replied : “Our favorite most helpful vendor to work with was The Bride Candy (Christopher Plaza) as he is so funny, welcoming and passionate about his work with florals. He was super knowledgeable not only about florals but also about the wedding industry in general and gave us so many tips for who else we should use for vendors when we were in a time crunch, so we will forever be grateful for his help and guidance.”
This was a vibrant, tropical Miami celebration that left an unforgettable impression on the couple, their families, and every guest who experienced it.
